It wouldn’t hurt to incorporate them into your own beauty regime
If there’s one thing that us mere mortals can learn a thing or two from celebrities—it’s their skincare routine. What on earth do they use to look airbrushed sans makeup? How many glasses of water do they have to down a day to get glowing skin? Is there a secret skincare routine they’re taught in Hollywood?
Just for you, we’ve trawled the Internet tips and compiled our fave tips—new and old—from celebrities that we think you’ll like too. You can thank us later!
1. #Ilovewater – Gwyneth Paltrow
This is an oldie, but a goodie. We all know the benefits of water (it’s in every single ‘How to Get Good Skin’ article we’ve read), but sometimes, all we need is extra validation. Take a cue from an actress, cookbook author, and founder of lifestyle journalism site Goop, who once shared her love for H2O on her Instagram and called it “full of healing power”.

2. “No matter what, I always wash my face at night.” – Emma Watson
There isn’t a single person who doesn’t know who Emma Watson is—and how incredible she looks—the result of pure dedication. The 27-year-old actress has a packed schedule but always makes sure she takes off all her makeup, cleanses, tones, and moisturises before going to bed. If Watson can do it (even after getting back from a shoot at 4 am!), there’s no reason why you should ever sneakily head straight to bed without completing your skincare routine, no matter how tired you are.

3. “When I travel is when I take the best care of my skin…” – Chrissy Teigen
Plane air causes dry skin, something that affects even stars like model and superstar mum Chrissy Teigen. Thankfully, long flights give Teigen “all the time in the world” to “put on every cream” to combat dry skin. She also admits that she doesn’t usually keep up with as rigorous a skincare routine on land, but we’d like to think she might change her mind if she ever tried one of ours! Keep reading for more.

4. “I love just like moisturizing my skin and I would just urge her to take care of her skin…” – Kim Kardashian West
When quizzed on a beauty tip she’d love to pass on to her daughter, North West, Kardashian West shared that she would want her to focus on skincare and moisturizing— something that she personally advocates in her own cosmetics line. As lovers of moisturizers and glowing skin ourselves, we agree 100%.

5. "I try not to stay out in the sun too long." – Jennifer Lopez
We'd honestly follow J.Lo's entire skincare routine if we could, but if we had to pick just one of her lifelong mantras, it'd be to stay clear of harmful sun rays! The 47-year-old (we know, we can't believe it either!) is also a firm believer in SPF and doesn't wear a lot of makeup if she doesn't need to.

6. “Sleep while you have the opportunity.” – Victoria Beckham
As one of the world’s most iconic women, Victoria sure knows a thing or two about looking Posh. The fashion mogul stresses that the secret to having youthful skin is to sleep as much as you can, as it’s something you won’t have the luxury of indulging in once you have children.

7. "I love doing masks and my favourite thing ever is giving my friends masks." – Bella Hadid
Here's a girl who knows sharing is caring! The 20-year-old model is definitely a friend we'd love to have, getting her close friends masks (she knows all their skin types!) just because. As she doesn't have time to go for luxurious facials due to packed schedules, Hadid sticks to her own masking routine to keep up her soft, glowing skin.

8. “I have learned the importance of moisturizing because I have the driest skin on the planet.” – Emma Stone
After being on a ton of movie sets and working with various makeup artists, the vivacious actress shares that moisturizing is one of the most important tips she’s picked up. We think she looks amazing, but if even Stone battles with problems like dry skin, you can bet we need to put in extra effort to moisturize to keep our complexions beautiful.

9. “I’ll do a cleansing mask or a moisture mask. I like to have my potions.” – Candice Swanepoel
The blonde and beautiful Victoria Secrets’ model shares that being sexy isn’t rocket science, and really more down-to-earth than it seems. The South African beauty says that while she does a monthly facial to rid impurities, her skincare routine usually consists of her doing a cleansing or moisture mask at home to maintain her radiant skin.

10. “I don’t want to cover up anymore.” – Alicia Keys
Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’d probably have heard that the singer-songwriter has been embracing the #nomakeup movement since last year and being comfortable in her own naturally glowing skin. Like Keys, let your skin breathe once in a while instead of piling on layers of foundation to conceal imperfections.
