The new holy grail for sensitive skin you’ll need to add to your routine
At homegrown skincare brand, The Moisturizers Co, it’s been an incredibly gratifying moisturising journey for them so far. Since their early beginnings, they’ve launched high efficacy moisturisers that provide benefits from glowing skin to refining large pores—and continue to constantly seek innovative and effective ways to target issues that real women face.
And here’s where we introduce the newest product from The Moisturizers Co: the Ultra Moisturizing Repair Gel with Calendula. This new holy grail for sensitive skin can also be used as a day and night gel and creates a smooth base underneath makeup for a flawless finish.
Why the need for a new moisturiser?
Many of you who currently use the skincare products from The Moisturizers Co. have relatively good skin that you want to improve on, and the brand's goal was to take it a step further. Find a solution for women who often experience red, irritated skin because of everything from environment impurities to products that don’t sit well on their skin. After months of working with a skincare lab from Italy, extensively researching and fine-tuning, The Moisturizers Co. has perfected an ultra-soothing, ultra-gentle skincare product. Formulated by expert skin chemists with advanced technologies, brought to you by The Moisturizers Co—the advocates of beautiful, moisturised skin.
Sounds great! What’s in it?
Let’s talk about the 5 key ingredients that go into the Ultra Moisturizing Repair Gel.
1. Calendula Officinalis extracts
Think of calendula as the beautiful, all-star of all healing ingredients. While many healing skincare ingredients are derived from oils or various non-flowering herbs, calendula is easily identified as a cheery, yellow flower from the daisy family, Asteracea, often known as marigolds.
With its anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties, incorporating calendula extracts in the Ultra Moisturizing Repair Gel greatly benefits dry skin/sensitive skin with its quick healing and regeneration benefits. Topical application of calendula promotes skin repair and helps to reduce the appearance of red, irritated skin, as well as other inflammatory skin conditions.
Wait, that’s not all. According to an article in PubMed Central®, calendula extracts help to improve skin elasticity—a wonderful attribute in fighting the signs of aging skin while being extremely gentle on sensitive skin!
2. Chamomile flower extracts
Chamomilla flower extract is yet another botanical ingredient in this new moisturiser from The Moisturizers Co. Like calendula, it’s widely known for its anti-inflammatory and skin-soothing properties. However, it’s also an effective conditioning agent and skin rejuvenator that greatly hydrates dry skin.
If you experience uncomfortably tight/taut skin caused by dryness or are prone to flaky skin that shows up beneath your makeup, you’ll be glad to know that chamomilla extracts will restore supple skin in no time!
3. Cucumber extracts
Here’s a soothing skincare ingredient that everyone knows and loves. Cucumbers are rich in a horde of vitamins, minerals, and nutrients with a pH value that is identical with our skin – providing multiple skin healing benefits regardless of skin type.
As cucumber contains polysaccharides, they create a hydrating barrier to trap moisture on your skin, while acting as an anti-inflammatory agent that calms sensitive skin. Vitamin K found in cucumber extracts further repair dry and damaged skin, keeping it strong, healthy, and hydrated.
4. Aloe Vera
We’re confident this needs no introduction. Lauded as a legendary skincare product that is incredibly effective in soothing sunburns, as well as replenishing and maintaining moisture, aloe vera is also pivotal in skincare thanks to the hormones auxin and gibberellin.
In a Refinery 29 article about aloe vera skincare, it’s mentioned that the duo reduces skin inflammation and promotes speedy healing to acne without scarring. It is also an all-in-one ingredient that benefits all skin types, from sensitive skin, dry skin, and even oily skin as it doesn’t cause additional greasiness. Packed with beta carotene, as well as Vitamins C and E, aloe vera is also an ingredient that aids in anti-aging and improving skin elasticity.
5. Allantoin
Allantoin is a plant-derived chemical compound that’s very gentle and non-irritating on the skin, making it an ideal ingredient in skincare, particularly moisturisers! It also increases the water content of cells, helping to deliver supple skin and promote cell longevity and healing. This means that you get newer cells faster, slowing down the signs of aging and getting rid of sallow skin, as well as tackle acne scars.
The Ultra Moisturizing Repair Gel is the first moisturiser that The Moisturizers Co. has formulated that has such a strong focus on healing, repair, and regeneration. Each of the ingredients that The Moisturizers Co. has chosen to include holds an important role in maximising results. In a month or less of diligent use, we’re excited for you to see red, tight, irritated skin fade, and for your overall complexion to become smoother and softer!
